Wheatears keep coming

First one Wheatear visible from the car park field, then we upped that to 3 from Ron's, all on one vent as can be seen below. It means we are having another great autumn for this lovely passage visitor, 14 birds so far in August and September but a way to go before we match the 22 of 2011,

Checking the Elders at the back of Lavell's, 2 Lesser Whitethroat together, 10+ Chiffchaff, just one Blackcap, but I can't imagine there weren't more to be found.

3 Grey Wagtail at BSL sailing club, 20 Shoveler.

At Lea Farm GP Green Sandpiper numbers are fairly consistently 5, or more birds first thing in the morning and other than last year's 11 to 14 on 3rd August,  having 5 or more birds only occurs on a handful of days, like in 1998 and 1999, even then they weren't as consistent. I'll try and write up a review, but as they do occur regularly it might be hard to give an entirely accurate picture.

I noticed a Barnacle Goose, no doubt of feral stock, in the SW corner today, we get about one record a year.

I had yet another September Swift this morning, my 7th since 2000.
