My DP List & Year List 2011

I was very fortunate to be at Lea Farm GP at 12:39on 30th May, when 100 yards to right of Ron's hide, 4 Crossbill flew over low West calling all the time. I had heard a bird 17th Nov 2002, but I obviously did not tick a 'heard only'. I have been waiting some time, as the only records were both some time back in 1991, 6 over 17th July (LB), no idea who LB is, but Andy Johnson was the only other person with it on his list with a single over 5th August same year.

Welcome to my blog

Hi to anyone that has an interest in birding at Dinton Pastures. Since there are already plenty of websites offering news of birds, I intend to share the experience of what is seen, when, where, etc, but also the local twitch experience when it happens and all those involved. May even post the occasional photo and will try not to rant when things don't go well. Depending on my time availability, discussion on conservation, various challenges and ways forward will be welcomed.
