More rain today and even more on the way

I haven't turned into a weather man, just to say it remains hard to get out when it is barely passable.

Friday is looking like a washout and Sunday not much better, which could reduce what we can achieve on the coming work party.

I still need Lesser Redpoll, Grey Wagtail and Coal Tit and nobody has seen a Kestrel, Woodcock or Tawny Owl yet and various other frequent January birds are missing too, so this month is very low compared to all recent years.

Looking at the Otmoor webs count on the 21st http://oxonbirding.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/otmoor-webs-count-2012014.html we should be hoping for a Pintail, they had 293!
